"Modest" means different things to different people. For some it is sleeves. For some it is a neckline that stays put when you lean over, or a hem that clears the knee when you sit. The dresses below cover one or more of those, and every one comes in a full size run at the same price in every size.
What to check before you order
- Sleeve type. A sheer puff sleeve covers the shoulder and upper arm but still shows skin. A full elastic puff sleeve is opaque.
- Neckline. Square and V-necks sit higher than a sweetheart. A smocked or elastic neckline stays where you put it.
- Lining. "Fully lined" on a product page means you will not need a slip.
- Closure. Front buttons and back zippers both work. Corset backs let you adjust coverage across the bust.

A note on sheer sleeves
A lot of "modest" dresses online use sheer sleeves, and photos rarely make it obvious. We say which kind it is on the product page. If you need opaque coverage on your arms, look for "full elastic puff sleeve" rather than "sheer." The Fern Dress is the most covered option in this list.
Common questions
Do you carry modest dresses with long sleeves?
Several styles have full-length or 3/4 sleeves. Some, like the Stella Dress, use a sheer long sleeve, which covers the arm without being opaque.
Are these dresses lined?
Many are, and the product page says so. Look for "fully lined" in the details list.
Do sizes above XL cost more?
No. Every size is the same price.
